Goodness Where Have I Been?

I am so sorry to all my friends out in blog land! I have not been keeping up with anything and I am just getting back on track! Why, you ask? My son ended up severely sick with the H1N1 Virus and we almost lost him! It was a pretty scray ordeal I tell you! His fever went up to 104.4 and his heart was beating at 202 beats a minute a times. Of course he was hospitalized, for 4 days until everything was under control. If you have been reading my blog for awhile now you may remember this. A creepy thing is when your children get admitted into the hospital on the same day 1 year apart and end up in the same room.!

Now I am ready to get inky again and get back on track with scrapbooking and card making! Sometime today I should have a new release coming out from Sunshine Stamps! There is also some new gals on Sunshines Dream Team which I will be updating today too on the blog roll on the side. Please be sure to check them out when you get a chance.
...and last not but not least a couple updated pics of the kids! In the bottom
one my daughter is the one in the white with the scarf.

Inky hugs,

On to my card for the day!

Have you had a chance to check out Sunshine Stamps Sentiments? I am

simply in love with all of them....they are great for those cards that you just

want to say something. Today I chose to use God is Already There.

I love this saying. It lets me know that I shouldn't be afraid and everything

is going to be alright. I just simply puts a smile on my face.

For this card I used white and black Bazzill cardstock and papers from

the Lime Rickey pack of Basic Grey Paper. ( Have I ever to told you

I {heart} the Lime Rickey paper? ) Anywho, the little baubles are from decorative

accents and the ribbon is from my stash.

How do you like it?

Inky Hugs,

My Turn To Host the Challenge....

Have you had a chance to check out the challenges over at the Ildi Co's Creative Challenge blog? Today is Challenge #3. Since I am hosting it I sat down to think....

What would be a challenge for me? I actually lost sleep over this! But I think

one of my biggest challenges in cardmaking/papercrafting is sewing! I am horrible!

The thing is I love the look! So appropriately I have labeled this

challenge In Stitches!

What I would love to see over on Ildi Co's Challenge Blog is your new

card/papercraft using some sort of stitches. This means you can use

a machine and stitch or hand stitch. You can cheat and draw your stitches or use

rubons. They can be straight, zig zag or all over. I just want to see your stitches!

I decided to use Ildi Co's image Cuddles Kuma Morning. I am not a morning person,

actually far from it. You usually can't catch me with out my morning cup of coffee.

I am a huge Tim Hortons drinker. So I thought that this cute bear would be perfect for me.

All the carstock used is Bazzill and the patterned paper is from DCVW paper pack

called Nanas Kids. I printed the image off at normal size and colored it

with my Fibracolor Markers. I did stitch the edges and purposely (lol) made it

all uneven. The sentiment is by Stampendous and I love it!

So hop on over to Ildi Co's Creative Challenge Blog and check it out.

My First Acetate Box With Witchy Bunny!

Have you had a chance to check out Sunshines signature line of Sunny Bunnies yet?
They are the cutest dang images! I have had the great opportunity to play
with Witchy Bunny, wich is awesome for this time of year!

I was figuring at making some treat boxes for this Halloween.
I have never made an Acetate Box in my life and thought that this
is the perfect occaision to try one!

Who doesn't like a box full of candy?

For this cute little box I used Bazzill cardstock (Festive) and My Minds

Eye Patterned Paper from their Night Light Line. The image on the front is from

Sunshine Stamps and it is the newly released Witchy Bunny! The saying

on the tag is also by Sunshine Stamps and it can be found here along with

some other super duper saying to go with all the other Sunny Bunnies!

Have You Checked????

We all know October is Breat Cancer Awarness month! Boobie Bunny is just that
little reminder to check yourself this month and every other month for that matter...
Us women need to look after ourselves and keep ourselves healthy! As many of you
know self breast exams are a great way to hopefully catch any early signs
of Breast Cancer. Here is my reminder.

The image is by Sunshine Stamps and is called Boobie Bunny. All cardstock is Bazzill. The patterned paper is by It Takes Two and the little gems are from Micheals.
Be sure to hop on (lol) over to the other
DT members blogs>>>>>found on you right and see
what other awesome creations they have come up with

We Are Tougher Than We Think!

WE ARE AWESOME !!!! OUR LIFE IS LIVING PROOF !!!!
To Those Born between 1930 - 1979
First, we survived being born to mothers who smokedand/or drank while they were pregnant.
They took aspirin, ate blue cheese dressing, tuna from a can and didn't get tested for diabetes.
After that trauma, we were put to sleep on our tummies in baby cribs covered with bright coloured lead-base paints.
We had no childproof lids on medicine bottles, locks on doors or cabinets and when we rode our bikes, we wore baseball caps, not helmets.
As infants & children, we would ride in cars with no car seats, no booster seats, no seat belts, no air bags, bald tires and sometimes no brakes.
And riding in the back of a pick- up truck on a warm day was always a special treat!
We drank water from the garden hose and not from a bottle.
We shared one soft drink with four friends, from one bottle and no one actually died from this.
We ate cupcakes, white bread, real butter and bacon. We drank Kool-Aid made with real white sugar. And we weren't overweight. WHY?
Because we were always outside playing .... that's why!
We would leave home in the morning and play all day, as long as we were back when the streetlights came on.
We had no cell phones, so no one was able to reach us all day. And we were OKAY.
We would spend hours building our go-carts out of scraps and then ride them down the hill, only to find out we forgot the brakes
After running into the bushes a few times, we learned to solve the problem.
We did not have Play stations, color TVs, Nintendo's, or X-boxes. There were no video games, no 150 channels on cable, no video movies or DVD's no surround-sound or CD's, no cell phones, no personal computers, no Internet and no chat rooms.
WE HAD FRIENDS and we went outside and found them!
We fell out of trees, got cut, broke bones and teeth and there were no lawsuits from these accidents.
We would get spankings with wooden spoons, switches, ping pong paddles,or just a bare hand and no one would call child services to report abuse.
We ate worms and mud pies made from dirt, and the worms did not live in us forever.
We were given BB guns for our 10th birthdays, made up games with sticks and tennis balls and although we were told it would happen, we did not put out very many eyes.
We rode bikes or walked to a friend's house and knocked on the door or rang the bell, or just walked in and talked to them.
Little League had tryouts and not everyone made the team. Those who didn't had to learn to deal with disappointment. Imagine that!
The idea of a parent bailing us out if we broke the law was unheard of. They actually sided with the law!
These generations have produced some of the best risk-takers, problem solvers and inventors ever.
The past 50 years have been an explosion of innovation and new ideas. We had freedom, failure, success and responsibility, and we learned how to deal with it all.

The following is Jay Leno's quote:

'With hurricanes, tornados, fires out of control, mud slides, > flooding, severe thunderstorms tearing up the country from one end to another, and> with the threat of bird flu, swine flu and terrorist attacks, are we> sure this is a good time to take God out of the Pledge of Allegiance?'

SC249 ~ Happy Birthday

I am making birthday cards for alady to give to all the teachers at her childs school

throughout the year! How fun! So I was searching through SCS looking

for some inspiration. I came upon SCS Card Sketch for this week.

It caught my attention right away, the sketch looked fun

and away to work I went.

My look at the sketch!

I received this image in a trade awhile back and I am needing to use them up. This

cute little hedgehog is the from the Stampin Up Set Hedgehog Happiness.

The white cardstock is Staples 110lb. and the red cardstock is from

It Takes Two. The patterned paper is from my HUGE (needing to get rid of)

stash of paper. It is by SEI called Winnie Blooms. The little gems are from

Micheals. What do you think?

Guess Who???

of Sunny Bunny Stamps. This bunny is called

I haven't done a pocket card in forever so

I decided to switch it up for a change.

I am really happy with the way this

Sunshine Stamps and can be found here.

The image was colored with my Fibracolor markers. The cardstock is all

Bazzill and the patterned paper is by K & Company called

Happy Halloween Flat Paper .

Happy Halloweenie!

Lol....too funny. Quite awhile back I had discovered a new stamps company, to me

at least, on Ebay. The stamps are from a company called Skipping Stone Designs!

I fell in love at first site! They had a Daschund, in a Hot Dog costune! If you have

been following my blog for a bit I am a proud owner of my 10 year old, Daschund

named Howie! I love daschunds and think they are the best so I just had to get

this set off Ebay! Well the owner of these stamps is awesome and I am sure alot of

Halloween Is In The Air With Ildi Co.

I have the fabulous opportunity to be on of the October Guest Designers
for a new company out called Ildi Co. you are going to fall in love with these
little bears and more! Because it is October I have the chance to play with
their Halloween Images called Halloweenies. I love Halloween and I wish
Canada would get into the spirit more and send out Halloween cards
and stuff like other countries. Gosh, it is even hard to find
Halloween paper up here!

This little Halloweenie is called Ghostie! I love them! They are so cute! I have colored them with my Copics. The sentiment is from MFT's Who's That Ghost: Flopsey set.

The Cardstock is all Bazzill, (I need to get a swatch to get the colors!) and the patterned paper is from my stash (if you know let me know). I decided to keep the embellishments simple and just add a few Baubles from Stamping Bella.

Here is another fun image to play with. This image is called Pumpkin with Koko.
Once again I colored this image with my Copics and used MFT's
Who's That Ghost: Flopsey for the sentiment. The cardstock is Bazzill and the
patterned paper is from Aw Cute. The ribbon is Offray and the brads are
from my stash.

Ildi Co. also has a new challenge blog too! New challenges
are posted on the 1st and 3rd Thursday of each month. This weeks
challenge is Halloween! I am using these 2 cards for the challenge!
Be sure to go check it out.

Not Feeling So Well?

Well, it's Monday and that means it is time to introduce you to some more of Sunshines Stamps. Today I would like to introduce you too Flushie and Frankie. Both these guys or girls for that matter make me think of needing a pick me up.

So what do you think of the new ones?

September Sheetload

Well, I don't know about you but I love the blog, Sheetload of Cards! The sketches help so much at times especially when I have lost my mojo! So I decided to use their sketch the other day while making some Christmas cards. I can't enter in the draw though as I missed the part about needing to be a fall card :( But that is alright I still had fun creating these cards.

So what do you think?
